| Abstract: | En la primera novela de Jorge Ibargüengoitia, 'Los relámpagos de agosto', se parodia y desmitifica la revolución mexicana, tradicionalmente considerada como el acontecimiento fundacional del México moderno. Por sus características, esta obra puede considerarse precursora de la nueva novela histórica latinoamericana. Jorge Ibargüengoitia's first novel, 'Los relámpagos de agosto', in its parody and demythification upon the Mexican Revolution -traditionally considered as the birth of Modern Mexico-, may be seen as a forerunner of the new Latin-American historical novel. |
