| Abstract: | El trabajo estudia la estructura y recursos de argumentación de Lince de Italia u zahorí español, un memorial que dirigió Quevedo a Felipe IV en 1628; en esta obra Quevedo aconseja al monarca sobre las medidas más convenientes que cabe tomar ante la delicada situación que se presenta en Italia, e intenta persuadirle del peligro que encierran franceses, venecianos y, sobre todo, el duque de Saboya. Al logro de dichos fines se destinan diversas técnicas de argumentación que se analizan en estas páginas.
This article studies the structure and rhetorical strategies of Lince de Italia u zahorí español, a work that Quevedo dedicated to the king Philip IV in 1628. Quevedo advises the king on the more convenient actions that should be taken due to the intricate situation in Italy. He also tries to persuade the king of the danger of French and Venetian policy; and above all, of the menacing duke of Saboya. The author analyses Quevedo’s craftsmanship, that achieves these purposes. |
